Sweetness of Salah Series: Serenity of Tahajjud

 🌌 The Night’s Special Gift

As the world sleeps and silence reigns, the last third of the night holds a special secret: the time of Tahajjud.

The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said, "The best prayer after the obligatory prayers is the night prayer." (Muslim)

We’d recommend waking up at least 20 minutes before Fajr prayer to catch the time for Tahujjud, but it can even be an hour or so beforehand.

Why Tahajjud?

1. A Time of Closeness to Allah: In these tranquil hours, as you stand alone in prayer, you’re in a private audience with your Creator. It’s a time when supplications are heard, and mercy descends.

2. Spiritual Clarity: The stillness of the night brings clarity of thought, helping you reflect and connect more deeply with your inner self and with Allah.

3. A Source of Strength: Regularly waking up for Tahajjud can instill discipline, resilience, and spiritual strength, transforming not just your nights, but your entire life.

🛐 Taking the Step

1. Start Small: Begin with just two Rak’ahs. The key is consistency.

2. Keep a Prayer Journal: Note down your thoughts, reflections, or what you asked from Allah. It can be a powerful way to track your spiritual journey.

3. Be Patient: It might be challenging initially, but with patience and perseverance, it becomes a source of immense peace and comfort.
