Gateway to Jannah

Salaam Minara Family,

Shall we begin with a little check in with our hearts?

How’s dear Ramadan been treating you?

the month of the Qur’an

[or should we be asking how you’ve been treating Ramadan?] 😎

No judgement here friends!

No, but in all seriousness how is all the goal getting going… or not going?

Completely natural if you’re feeling a little weary or slowing down.

Completely normal if you’re feeling a little left behind.

You’ve still got time.

Remember we’re still only half-way through and most crucially, still in the ‘ashara of forgiveness.

What better way to embody some of the beautiful quality of Al-Ghafoor, The Ever-Forgiving, and release the uncertainty, unworthiness and inactivity that plagues you with a simple but certain astagfirullah and seize instead what is left of Ramadan?

All you really need is just one more tasbih, one more ayah, one more salah, one more du’a, one more act of compassion to shift your Ramadan progress from inactivity to activity.

Every deed, small or big, offered amidst the stolen moments of our day, count for something. Who knows how high in the heavens a little ‘astagfirullah’ might reach?

Allah hears everything: every utterance of remembrance and every silent pull towards good.

And He discounts nothing.

What’s your one more that will make your Ramadan a winning one?

Chasing the Blessings: The Final Ten Days of Ramadan

Entering the third ‘ashara at bullet speed!

The first ‘ashara came brimming with mercy.

The second ‘ashara [we’re still living it alhamdulillah] came laden with forgiveness.

And the third and final ‘ashara?

May we live to see it Ya Hayyu, Ya Qayyum 🤲🏽

The third and final ‘ashara will come bearing sweet, sweet promises of Jannah [Heaven] and emancipation from Jahannum [Hell-Fire].

Off To Recharge

Over on Instagram, we’ve reached Day 14 of our Ramadan Salah journey.

We’re basically sharing inspiring thoughts and ‘kick-us-into-action’ reflections to encourage consistency in our five daily salah.

We’re excited to keep sharing our little shards of inspo for the remainder of Ramadan, and if you find your battery wearing thin, hope you know this ⬇️ and those ⬆️ are for you.

Can there be a better time than Ramadan to work on your prayer journey?

Yeh - you know the answer!

Ramadan and Salah – consider it the ultimate power-up combo. You start your day feeling like a champion, and every prayer thereon feels like a little recharge for your soul.

Sure, sometimes you might be half-asleep or wondering if you’ve hit snooze one too many times, but let’s be real: there’s no better feeling than winning your prayers, especially when you’re juggling fasting, work, and family time.

Each and every salah is like a mini victory.

Fun fact: Did you know that salah actually helps improve focus? It trains the mind to be present - all distractions on pause - just you and your Creator - one of you off-loading and the Other listening, prescribing and healing.

So, while we’re fasting and trying to survive on fewer snacks than usual, embrace the quiet moments in salah to reset, reflect, and recharge - because when you’re spiritually nourished, everything else feels easier to handle.

And remember, no need for perfection - just progress.

Perfection lies only with Allah.

We repeat: perfection lies only with Allah.

All you need is a dose of your best.

Allah will make the magic happen.

May the next phase of your Ramadan be full of blessings, wins, and spiritual power-ups.

Seeing as we’ll be entering the ‘Jannah special’ days, did you also know that one of Jannah’s eight doors is called Baab us-Salah?

Literally translated to the Gate of Prayer, Bab as-Salah is considered a special and honored entrance for those who are regular and sincere in their prayer during their earthly lives. Prophet Muhammad said that there are multiple gates to Jannah, and one of these gates is specifically for those who excelled in performing their prayers.

Thee significance of this gate goes beyond just offering prayers. It's a symbol of how consistent and heartfelt worship is recognized by Allah. Baab us-Salah is a reward for those who maintained their commitment to prayer despite life's challenges.

Wait… there’s more. When people enter through this gate, it's not just about the act of salah; it represents a manifestation of their closeness to Allah. The constant connection they maintained through prayer on Earth directly leads to a special and revered entry into Paradise.

Can you imagine entering Jannah, not just for your deeds in general but because you nurtured an unbreakable relationship with Allah through your daily prayers?!

The reward for the musalli is beyond just entering Jannah - it is the honor of being welcomed through one of its most magnificent and cherished entrances.

Our du’a for all of us is that may our salah, often a quiet rhythm in this world, harmonise into potent melodies, fused by our struggles and striving in salah, to open for us the gates to Jannah where we will be welcomed with the highest of rewards and peace forever and ever.

Ameen Ya Rabb,

🌙
