Staying Close to Your Heart..
Minara needs your support
Salaam Minara Family,
How are we finding your hearts today?
We hope in sha Allah, you found last week’s post on intentionality valuable. May it also serve us beyond the realms of Ramadan.
Ameen🩵
Today we’re sharing five prophetic supplications to keep you close to your heart during the month of Ramadan as well as our top five tips for the last five working days before we welcome this noble month. And as this is a month in which the Noble Qur’an becomes even dearer to us, we’re sharing some reflections on a verse of gratitude.
O Allah, let us reach the month of Ramadan.
But before we dive in friends, we have a small but urgent request.
We know Ramadan is a month of compassion.
Allah has given us such a beautiful month to support one another and show care and compassion.
In the spirit of compassion, Minara could really do with some love from our community.
Minara has joined LaunchGood’s Ramadan campaign that allows you to automate your donations throughout this blessed month. It’s simple, flexible, and impactful – you can donate as little or as much as you like, but the key is to act now.
By signing up before the 28th of February, you’ll ensure that Minara receives an important referral boost, helping us collect more funds to support our vital work. Every penny counts, and with this easy setup, your giving becomes a seamless act of worship.
Taking a few minutes today to sign up is all it takes – a small amount of time for immense support. We understand how much of a whirlwind life becomes and one slipped moment suddenly becomes a missed opportunity.
In this case, it’s an opportunity to make a difference.
With Minara’s LaunchGood appeal, you can ensure your contributions are steady and impactful, without the pressure of remembering each day. Your support will not only help Minara thrive but will also ensure you’re part of something much greater this Ramadan.
You can schedule your giving amount for the whole month with the option of giving more [if you like] in the last ten day. There is also the option of contributing this donation towards your zakat if you like 😊.
So please, please use this link to sign up now. Remember, as little or as much as you can give.
Minara is grateful to you.
We really cannot do this without you.
Thank you for your kindness.

Supplications to Serve You
Prayers of the Prophets [peace be upon them]
Theme of Forgiveness
Prophet Adam:
Rabbana zhalamna anfusana wa-in lam taghfir lana watarhamna lanakoonanna min-al khasireen
“Our Lord! We have wronged ourselves. If You forgive us not, and bestow not upon us Your Mercy, we shall certainly be of the losers.”
Theme of Hardship
Prophet Yunus:
La ilaha illa anta subhanaka innee kuntu mina-zhalimeen
“No one has the right to be worshiped but You (O Allah), Glorified (and Exalted) are You. Truly, I have been of the wrong-doers.”
Theme of Relief from Distress
Prophet Ayub:
Annee massaniya ddurru wa-anta arhamur rahimeen
“Verily, distress has seized me, and You are the Most Merciful of all those who show mercy.”
Theme of Tawakkul [trust in Allah]
Prophet Ibrahim:
Rabbana ‘alayka tawakkalna wailayka anabna wailayka almaseer
“Our Lord! In You we put our trust, and to You we turn in repentance, and to You is (our) final return.”
Theme of Goodness
Prophet Musa:
Rabbi innee lima anzalta ilayya min khayrin faqeer
“My Lord! Truly, I am in need of whatever good that You bestow on me!”

Gratitude and al-Qur’an
We referenced this same verse from Surah Luqman two weeks ago but wanted to bring it back today to share some reflections.

Reflections:
Gratitude can be transformative, fashioning the way we endure, experience and interact with everything and everybody around us.
Gratitude can be a powerful and healing response in moments of distress and difficulty.
Allah is above any and all praise we give Him but the gratitude we show to Allah in the ways we praise Him echoes mightily within the realms of our own lives.
This verse comes in reference to the wisdom that was bestowed upon Prophet Luqman [peace be upon him]. An entire chapter is dedicated to Prophet Luqman in commemoration of his ability to live a life in gratitude to Allah.
By living a life of gratitude, you live in the framework of the very nature of life Allah has designed for us.
