Salaam Minara Family,
How are we all doing?
Wherever you are in the world, chances are you're soaking up the sunshine, or at least trying to survive the heat!
Summer brings a different rhythm: longer days, lighter routines, more freedom. But with that freedom comes a quiet risk: the loss of structure. Without school timetables, fixed work hours, or daily routines, Salah can slowly slip out of focus.

But, what if, instead of letting Salah revolve around our summer plans, we built our summer around it?
Here’s how to make Salah the spine of your summer, not the footnote ⬇️.
Not Just the Footnote
1. Set Salah-Based Anchors for Your Day
With flexible schedules, it's easy to lose track of time. Let each prayer become a natural anchor. Fajr can open your day with stillness. Dhuhr becomes a midday reset. Maghrib calls you to slow down as the sun sets.
2. Pair Each Prayer with a Summer Habit
Attach something life-giving to each Salah:
→ A walk after Fajr
→ Reading Qur’an after Dhuhr
→ Journaling after Maghrib
→ Family storytime after Isha
This helps turns turn your salah into a springboard,
3. Create a Summer Salah Space
Set up a simple, inviting prayer corner, by a window, with a clean mat, maybe a candle or your favorite du’a book. A dedicated space helps you stay rooted when the rest of the day feels loose.
4. Make Plans Around Prayer Times
Whether it's beach trips, outings, or sleepovers, check prayer times before finalizing plans. Pack a prayer mat. Pause for salah at parks or roadside stops. Show your summer that salah is a blessing you bring with you.
5. Set a Summer Salah Intention
Ask yourself: What kind of salah rhythm do I want by the end of this summer? Maybe it's praying all five on time. Maybe it's reconnecting with khushu’. Write it down. Make du’a for it. Let the ease of summer become a training ground for your heart.
Wishing you all a blessed week 💜💜.
Love and du’as,
The Minara Team
